The radomire south route is a 16.5km round trip with a 1400m total ascent. All routes to the summit of Mt Korab are fairly quiet, with this one being the less busier out of the two starting from Radomire.  The south route is the more direct route to the summit of Mt Korab.

The route is hardest to navigate at the very start, try keeping to the right to follow the small path for the forst 1km. Once on this path the route will become more clear as you go on, There is not a well marked path most the way up however it is quite clear which direction to head in, Bring go navigation equipment if weather is bad.

The southern route has a steep gradient that stays quite consistent for most the way up.  Near the end of this route you will come to a point of exposure in which you will be able to see into the opposite valley, the views are tremendous. From here the is a clear steep path to the left in which you follow to the summit of Mt Korab. This last section joins all 3 paths together near the summit. You can choose to travel the same way down or take the North route back into Radmoire.

2. Radomire North Route

The North route starting from Radomire is the busier of the two routes and has a more gradual approach to the summit. Although the north route is not as steep it is however longer in distance and has more ascent overall the route has 1450m of ascent and is 23,5km in total.

The start  of the route is much clearer than the latter and you follow it round to the left from the start of the trail, this route starts off fairly steep and then levels out and stays at a consistent gradient for most the way to the summit.

Halfway into this route you will being crossing through a valley surrounded by astonishing peaks, This part of the walk has a very gentle gradient, until you get close to Mt Korab in which steepen for the last 500m ascent. During this final ascent you will cross join with the route starting in North Macedonia and then right near the summit the other route starting from Radomire. Once at the summit you can make this walk smaller by heading down the South route from Radomire.

Once at the rocky terrain at around 1800m the mountain path continues at this new steep gradient for the rest of the climb to the summit.

There is not much exposure for the rest of the route until reaching the summit after around 5km and 900m of ascent, Once at the summit of Korab the only way back to the start point is to follow the same path up.
